As I work for Education Bradford Learning Support part time, and have been a teacher on and off for many years, I am aware of the difficulties and stresses that teachers often suffer. Now schools have a greater responsibility for avoiding and dealing with work-place induced stress all staff should be aware of the options available. Life coaching is increasingly being offered by occupational health departments as a quick and effective way of helping staff resolve issues and improve effectiveness. All staff should be aware of the possibilities that life coaching offers both for developing their own coping strategies and also of when, where and how to obtain access to a life coach, if needed.
